Coil Pot

This was an exciting pot to make. It took multiple days to complete. I started with a lot of clay and with each layer on the pot I would make a long skinny clay part and I would stack them until they reached a height of about eleven inches. Then after it was bone dry I covered it in paint wax and gloss. I was very happy with the result of my pot when it came out of the kiln and now it will be a gift for my dad on Christmas.

ceramics mug

I started off with wet clay and made it into the shape of a unique mug with a twisty handle. I then let it dry for a few days and painted a cool design with colorful circles. I let it dry and it was then put in the kiln. After that I put wax on it to make the colors pop out and make the whole mug look glossy. Then, you put it in another kiln and the project is complete.

ceramics pinch pot

This project was like an experiment. It was very easy to do. I made it by hand and it only took a few days. I experimented with colors and it did not turn out how I thought it would, but that's ok because I love it.

ceramics snail

This project was used with just a few simple tools; wire, newspaper and glue. I decided to make a snail because it would look cute and be fun to paint! This project looked way easier than it was, but the work I put into it payed off and I got a result that payed off.
